As we are approaching our kick off to this year’s Poppy Campaign, we wanted to provide an update to this year’s activities. As we all are aware, there have been many changes to our daily lives due to the pandemic. Not only has this put a great deal of pressure on our Legion, it also has impacted this year’s campaign activities.
This year our campaign runs from Friday October 30 thru November 10th. Normally we have canvassing at 8 locations however this year we will only be canvassing at 1. We will continue to deliver donation boxes to businesses throughout the community.
Our location for canvassing is at Costco on Regent. We will be canvassing daily with shifts starting at 10am on Friday October 30th and running every day until 8pm on November 10th. There will be 5 – 2hr shifts each day starting at 10am and ending at 8pm. We will not have canvassers on the entrance side but instead will have a table setup on the exit side of the vestibule. The table will allow for physical separation between canvassers and contributors. Masks will be required and hand sanitizer will also be provided.
If you are able to volunteer your time to this important campaign please stop in at the Branch and place your name on the sign-up sheet across from the Bar.
