Wreaths for Veterans

On Sunday, December 3rd

Message from Peter Martin:

On Sunday, December 3rd the Transcona Legion, Branch 7 held a special ceremony at the Transcona cemetery Field of honour. Peter Martin organized this event on behalf of the Transcona Legion and it involved the placing of Christmas wreaths at the beginning and end of each row of tombstones as well as placing tea lights on the top of each gravestone. The wreaths were donated by Geoff and Regan Archambault and the tea lights were donated by the Transcona BIZ.

In one of the attached photos Geoff is officially presenting the 1st wreath to Sharon Mortimer ( Legion President) as the volunteers who placed the lites and wreaths, look on.

These lites and wreaths will remain in place for the month of December.

We encourage anyone who is available to come out and see this display

The generous donations in support of our Veterans is an example of Remembrance
and appreciation for the sacrifices of our Veterans.

Thank-you Peter Martin for the work you do in preserving the
Remembrance of Veterans in the Transcona community.
